3 Pawfully Funny Dog Websites

Everyone knows the internet was invented to share as many funny cat pictures with as many people as possible. I love cats and few things beat a good cat meme, however, it’s very likely you are reading this blog because you like dogs.

Don’t worry. Dogs across the globe are fighting back to prevent their corner of the world wide web being taken over by felines – and I am giving them a hand..or err, a paw.

Here are 3 of my favourite sites for getting a doggie entertainment fix:

1. Buzzfeed

No one beats Buzzfeed for funny and spot-on posts, whatever they are about. Their dog posts are no exception. Check out 17 Dogs Who Had No Idea You’d Be Home So Early for some dogs caught red-pawed in unfortunate situations. If you are still not sure about whether dogs add value to your life, be convinced by 41 Ways Your Dog Makes Your Life 100% Better. Number 10 fills me with dread and giggles all at once. (Must.not.let.the.dogs.see.that.) Number 37 is so true for my two – they never stop! More doggie fun on Buzzfeed here, here and here. Oh, and if you’re having a bad day, here are 35 Dogs That Will Make Your Day Instantly Better.

2. Dog Shaming

Dog shaming has all the right ingredients for generating a smile, a giggle or even an outburst of laughter. For those not familiar with the concept of dog shaming – on this website dog owners share pictures of their dog, publicly shaming them for their naughty habits or actions. The dogs, of course, usually look completely innocent. A few of my favourites are the dog who saved his owners from the evil sofa, this colourful pug and this duo that seems to have a good thing going 😉 Decide on your own favourite on dogshaming.com.

3. How Cute Is My Dog

Howcuteismydog.com is a relatively new website, but I love the concept. It is, I suppose, the “hot-or-not” equivalent for dogs. People can vote which dog is the cutest, by giving a dog up to 5 bones. Needless to say, both Skippy and Anuska have made it to “Dog of the Day”. Yes – I am bragging.
There is a serious side to this website though, which is (apart from the opportunity to brag), the reason I want to mention this site here.  Every week the website highlights a different dog from the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, to try and give them additional exposure and ultimately get them adopted.

There are a gazillion other sites out there. Let me know in the comments which one is your favourite!
